10 reasons why reading is the coolest hobby
Is it even possible to time travel back to the time where flowy dresses, gothic castles and knives strapped to thigh were still a thing or to just talk to ghosts and be in the world of supernatural beings, we all have dreamed of being bitten by a vampire, right or just go to the time where we’ll be octogenarians and looking at flying cars and stuff. Reading literally does that to you, it makes you go to several places while you’re still in your pajamas chilling in your living room.
Do not ever consider reading a nerdy thing, it’s by far the coolest and legit hobby (looks good on resume too) here’s a few reasons why :
Reason 1: Makes you a great conversationalist.
When you read books you actually end up having so many stories inside your head that you can literally pick up a debate on just any topic and anything. You learn so much by living with the characters you know many and many things.
Reason 2: Our imagination runs wild and free.

Books usually do not have many pictures to associate the kind of person or area or plot they’re talking about so the reader ends up imaging so many scenarios in their heads that by the time they’ve finished a series they can imagine anything and everything. You can literally be in any house either Hogwarts or Camp half blood anything and you create a world of your own.
Reason 3: Aids your vocabulary.
There are just too many words and a single individual can’t accumulate and learn all of that so the best way to learn new phrases and words are books, they can tell you savage comebacks to the most spiritual advices with words literally out of the blue.
Reason 4: Helps to calm down your stress.

After a tiresome day when you lay in your bed and pickup a book to read you’re muscles relax automatically and this is scientifically proven and help you sleep better, noticed how great the books smell and how good it feels. How long it has been since you slept with a book on your chest?
Reason 5: Is open to any sort of interpretations.
Apart from all other stuff the best thing about books is that we can interpret the things the way we want and with that imagination we are open to several sorts of interpretations and analysis. You can interpret the meanings the words the phrases the way you think and it’s a subjectively active area with lots and lists to learn and research for.
Reason 6: Too many choices.

There are just so many books and so less time, it’s like this myriad sea and we just end up diving into the bank area. For very mood and occasion, different types and several genres thus makes it so deep and so astounding. From happy to sad ; romance to horror; paper back to e-books everything is available.
Reason 7: Makes you a better and empathetic person.
Reading helps you become more of a listener, you learn to be patient as well as passionate, you put yourself in others shoes and work and think accordingly and you accept the challenges with it. You skim through things and learn about them and make a viewpoint and accept several things and they end up changing you.
Reason 8: Is your go to best friend/solace provider.

Even if you’re traveling or in a party or even at a date your book is like that energy giving tool which helps you go through them, they’re like your buddies and are always near to change your mood and sometimes even get your heart racing.
Reason 9: Helps you learn from others experiences and mistakes.
Reading books make you live the life of the protagonist, antagonist and every character and you end up finding a bit of similar traits and you learn with them, you gain experiences and you just full yourself with all this precious information, you go through things you laugh with them and you cry with them and you form an emotional bond. You understand why a bad character turned bad and you move out of the world of black and white and start living in grey. Things just happen to get better
Reason 10: Simply helps you escape reality.

Stormy weather, coffee, your favourite book and you’re wrapped up in cozy blankets and just this much cheers you up and you’re ready to set off to another world, a new horizon, a different dreamland, country side or a concert and you just be random because of the book. You can kill with a turn of the wand like a wizard or just fight the gods like a half blood or be a strong and determined person from Jane Austen’s work and you’re out of the sad pathetic reality for a while which definitely isn’t this good.
I, on personal level think book shops and cafes should be made mandatory everywhere. So we can just grow up and tell our kids the coolest bed time stories. Also did you not wait for your Hogwarts letter when you were 11?
