When we talk about music there are few great people who have graced the stage with their presence and performance. The fans have gone crazy behind them and they have influenced the world with their music. Its difficult to just name top 5, so we did some research on many popular artists their careers, their popularity, million dollar sales, and fan following. Mentioned below are the top 5 music icons that have driven their fans crazy and have ruled the world.

Madonna has been making hit records for almost three decades now. She has a Guinness record to her name for being the bestselling female artist of all time. Madonna is known for the most innovative performances. From singing to song writing to acting she always gives the best. She had a dream to rule the world and that’s what she is doing. Few of her most popular tracks include “Vogue”, “Like a Prayer”, “Hung Up”. Madonna’s incredible persona and outlook on life has long been an ongoing influence to women. Madonna is the all time richest female recording artist in the world. With more than 300 million is sales she is among the top artists the world has seen.
Elvis Presley: – (1935 – 77, USA)

He brought rock ‘n roll into American living rooms. Elvis Presley was a larger than life cultural icon. Elvis started a musical revolution, blending country, blues, gospel and pop into an explosive mix. His music was as popular as ever in the 1970’s and his fame had reached many European countries who were caught in the Rock and Roll craze. He received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at the age of 36. His achievements speak for his talent and his popularity cannot be compared with any other. Elvis gave number of hits during his short career, few of them are “It’s Now or Never”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “Suspicious Minds”
Beatles: – ( 1960-70, England)
They are without a doubt one of the most successful band in the history of rock and pop music and they continue to inspire and shape new generations of pop stars even today. Also called as “The Fab Four”, the band included John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They actually ruled a decade from 1960 -70 where they won almost all the awards possible. Their craze was beyond imagination. Michael Jackson is the most downloaded artist in the history of music and is the most awarded and nominated artist of all time.
